Open For Business : Power MD rejuvenates Marin County

Written by Scott Couture on . Posted in Couture Architecture Blog

For Dr. Karron Power, her new state-of-the-art clinical space had to reflect her lifelong devotion of coaxing art from science. Every aspect of her new facility, Power MD, had to reflect her commitment to her patient’s experience and convey an atmosphere of wellness and vitality through meticulous design and attention to detail.

To create this new atmosphere the walls and finishes of the existing cramped, uninspired tenant spaces were peeled back to reveal spaces filled with soft, diffused natural light. Strong, confident architectural forms were then added to shape the space, create a sense of movement and allow the light to penetrate and illuminate the facility. These forms were finished with a modern sense of precision and color by using pure white natural stone for the countertops, rich wenge hardwood panels to adorn the reception desk, textured wall panels to wrap the reception backdrop and a hint of the logo blue branding color to display area glass shelving. The dark wood grained flooring adds a sense of strength and ties the whole space together.

Power MD focuses on rejuvenation of the Body and Mind of their clientele and their new facility conveys a high-end, clean & precise environment to portray the feeling of confidence, movement & energy that the Power MD clientele come to Dr. Power for.
